History of
Chalkidiki Flour Mills S.A.:
The company, “CHALKIDIKI FLOUR MILLS S.A.“, founded by Efstratios Eugeniou, has been active since 1928 in Nea Triglia, Halkidiki. Today it is succeeded by the third generation of the family, people who have a long tradition in the flour industry and know well what is entailed in the processing of cereals.
Our company is currently the only company in Northern Greece that pioneers the creation of special flours for industry, crafts and bakers. In today’s age, with the help of technology, we are able to offer our customers over 150 different types of flour and mixes from high quality raw materials. A varietyof products ideal to cover all their needs for traditional as well as newer nutritionally targeted products.
Chronology:
From 1928 to this day, Chalkidiki Flour Mills S.A. are constantly evolving technologically, productively and administratively and always aiming at the optimization of our products, processes and partnerships.
1928
The first stone mill was founded in 1928 by Efstratios Evgeniou in Nea Triglia of Halkidiki and operated as a stone mill by grinding hard wheat and soft wheat to flour.
1953
In 1953, the stone mill was upgraded with French stones.
1959
In 1959, its building was extended by converting it into a rolling mill with six cylinders.
1968
The mill continued its upward progression by making two new expansions in 1968 and 1979 which involved increasing production and improving quality.
1979
Our company, since the 70s, has entered a dynamic trajectory and distributes its products all over Greece as well as exports of flour and agricultural products.
1981
In 1981 CHALKIDIKI FLOUR MILLS S.A. was renovated and established by Evgenios Evgeniou in Elaiohoria, Halkidiki, with the capacity of a 14,500 ton silo with a modern Dryer.
1984
In 1984, new silos with a capacity of 18,000 tons are built, so that the total capacity reaches 47,000 tons.
1987
In 1987, our company built modern new building facilities with a modern corn processing mill, with a total capacity of 120 tons/24h, which produces low-fat corn flour and semolina of excellent quality.
1988
In 1988, the construction of two horizontal warehouses with a total capacity of 8,000 tons began with the addition of automatic redlers for the transport of bulk products, which was completed in 1989.
1993
Within the year of 1993, the modern new facilitie in Elaiohoria, were finalized and production commenced. The new electronic flour mill began production with a total capacity of 250 tons/24h. The factory was a real gem for the flour industry.
1995
In 1995, the construction of a modern semolina mill and durum wheat flour mill with a total capacity of 190 tons/24h began and was completed at the end of 1996.
2003
In 2003, the existing packaging department was upgraded and the large packaging of products was automated.
2005
In 2005, a 40 ton/24h mill was built for soft and durum whole wheat flour.
2008
In 2008, the management of our company is undertaken by the heirs of Evgenis Evgeniou. His son, Efstratios Eugeniou, is elected as President and CEO.
2011
In 2011, a complete set of small packaging products (flour-semolina) of 0.5kg, 1kg, 3kg, 5kg and 10kg was installed.
2017
We installed a modern cooling system for the silos with grain storage refrigerators. We continued by adding a modern grain sorting and cleaning machine, as well as the remote thermometry for the complete control of the A' material.
2018
A traceability program (Trace Pro) is installed throughout the production process to fully control all processes.
2019
Installation of a new synchronous mixer for special bakery products/mixes and HO.RE.CA products.

The Athens branch is located at 10 Katara Konstantinou Street, Acharnes, while the Larissa branch is located at the 3rd km of the Old Athens – Thessaloniki National Road.
